The Professional Massage Therapy program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need for careers as massage therapists. At the core of the program is a commitment to a holistic, integrated approach to massage therapy.
Students are instructed in therapeutic massage with advanced training in the treatment of soft tissue ailments, postural distortions, and degenerative processes of the body. The comprehensive curriculum includes classes in massage law, basic massage theory and neuromuscular clinical massage theory techniques, and allied modalities, as well as 90 hours of real life, clinical experience.
Employment opportunities can include positions at chiropractic and orthopedic offices, massage clinics, rehabilitation centers, sports organizations, health clubs, cruise ships, and spas and resorts.
